Website Updates, Partnerships, and a Paid Position?
People from various communities are beginning to take notice of Street Epistemology, and we’re taking steps to help keep up with our growth.

A few quick updates for you.
Street Epistemology Website
The updated SE website looks amazing (thanks again, Ben!) and we’ve hired a designer to add a few new features. Watch for a new ‘Related Books’ section where we’ll list books that specifically mention Street Epistemology (they’re coming) or are SE-adjacent in some way. We’re also adding a page called ‘Learning Course’ that will eventually have links to all the modules (more than 20 as I write this) for the self-directed course that a team of dedicated volunteers is writing. In the interim, this page will serve to keep folks updated with our project’s progress and calls to action to help us test various components of the course.
Partnerships
People outside of the traditional SE community are beginning to take notice of what we’re doing, which is really exciting to me. I’ve been in touch with a few individuals in particular over the past few weeks who are very excited about Street Epistemology and want to work together to bring these tools to others. Look for some exciting announcements in the coming months.
Paid Position?
While we don’t have a ton of funds, we do have some, and think it may be time to hire someone to help us with our social media, modest website management and video editing, and other general services. To date these efforts have fallen to our board members and volunteers, and if we’re going to grow, we’ll need someone to handle these more mundane tasks for us so we can focus on larger tasks. If you or someone you know who’s familiar with SE that might be a good fit, email [email protected]
Puzzle Pieces
You may recall the colorful gear-shaped foam pieces from some SE videos, often provided after conversations to remind people of the talk and incentivize them to come back for more. We’ve placed an order for a whole bunch that will have the SE logo on them to hand out to dedicated content creators, use at conferences when tabling, and perhaps even make them available for others to purchase. More on this later.
On a personal note, I’m receiving more emails and requests for interviews or workshops than I can keep up with, so I’ve been making an effort to direct people to the broader SE community to help take some of the load. Some amazing people have stepped up to help out, and that’s provided incredible relief. We’re going to need more support from volunteers as Street Epistemology continues to penetrate the culture, so if you think you have specific skills that we can benefit from, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
