Street Epistemology International is looking to expand its Board of Directors and is making significant progress in the development of our self-directed learning course.

A few more updates.

Street Epistemology Website

There’s a new ‘Related Books’ section for books that specifically mention Street Epistemology (more are coming) or are SE-adjacent in some way. Just because a book is listed here does not mean we agree with every single thing the book says. We also added a page called ‘Learning Course’ with information on how to test one of the modules that make up the SE Course.

In addition to some major website updates, we’ve started the process to add a public-facing calendar so people will be able to better keep track of SE-related events such as workshops, practice sessions, video reviews, and so on. We’re also considering an update to the SEI website.

Board Members

We would like to have more committed members join the Street Epistemology International Board of Directors. The tasks we are interested in are increasing in frequency and complexity, and we need dedicated and talented people to help us out. If you’ve gone above and beyond with Street Epistemology in some way and think we could benefit from your experience, we would be interested in speaking with you. SEI is an organization that is international in scope and we would like our board to reflect those ideals.

The SE Course

We’ve completed a draft of Module 7: Building and Maintaining Rapport and it has been reviewed by several dozen volunteers (focus group review begins next). Team members from around the world have been dutifully working on Modules 1, 2, 3, and 5 concurrently, and we’ve begun eyeing the start of Modules 4 and 6.

Once these first seven (of 22 total!) modules are completed, we'll make them available to the public. Our little team is stretched very thin and we are still in need of qualified volunteers including Subject Matter Experts, Lead Writers, Master Editor, and Illustrator. Reach out to me right away if you think you can help us out.
