Testing Testing Testing Testing
Testing is the name of the game.
23 January 2023
Greetings. This is going to be a shorter update. We’ve been extremely busy lately hammering out our strategy, supporting essential projects like the development of a self-directed SE course, making connections with other SE groups, and testing SE training materials that will soon be available for corporate clients.
We’ve recognized some exciting new directions and opportunities for SE and it’s been a whirlwind to be a part of it. We’re planning more online content creator and club organizer gatherings, so if you’re making SE content (or thinking about it) or are thinking about hosting a local SE club, these are the sessions for you. Check out our Twitter or Facebook for details.
In the midst of all of this, we’ve spent a lot of time this past month simply testing the materials we’ve been developing with some incredibly dedicated and kind and knowledgeable folks and gaining insight into what’s working and what’s not. We conducted four live focus group sessions over two days on two of the modules from the first part of the SE course (Module 2: Why Use SE? and Module 5: Preparing to do SE). Thanks to David, Quayd, Matt, and Robert and all of the volunteers for making that happen. Your shirts are on the way. Speaking of testing, we’re getting close to being ready to build out the form from which we’ll conduct a dry run of the very first scientific test of SE. This is with a professional researcher and we’re documenting the process from our end. But more on that later.
Alright, that’s all from me right now. Back to it! You can follow our activities (and more exciting things like live practice sessions and review shows from people who are interested in SE) by taking a look at this calendar.
Best regards,
