Areas Where Volunteers are needed most

Share Your SE Skills and Passions

Since our founding in 2019 as a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to promoting civil, evidence-based discourse, we’ve grown into a global community offering educational resources like the Navigating Beliefs course and supporting research, translations, and outreach efforts.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey with Street Epistemology or are already an active practitioner, SEI invites you to help us continue building a more thoughtful and reflective world, one conversation at a time.

We’ve organized opportunities into four tiers, based on the level of involvement, experience, and trust required. Whether you only have a few minutes a month or you’re ready to take on a strategic leadership role, there’s a place for you to make an impact.

Tier 1: Light Involvement (Approachable)

If you’re new to SE or only have a little time, these are simple ways to help:

Direct Tasks:

  • Share a favorite SE video, podcast episode, or blog post on social media.
  • Subscribe to active SE content creators and give them feedback.
  • Review the SEI, SE, or Navigating Beliefs websites for typos, broken links, etc.

Next step: If one of these feels doable for you, please complete the short contact form at the bottom of this page and we’ll follow up.

Tier 2: Moderate Involvement (Engaged)

If you’re already somewhat familiar with SE and want to give more, consider:

Direct Tasks:

  • Test upcoming modules of the Navigating Beliefs course and provide feedback.
  • Translate Navigating Beliefs into your language or review translations made by others.
  • Help maintain or update SE-related YouTube playlists.
  • Analyze Google Analytics or other website performance data.
  • Offer skills in graphic design, video editing, or copy editing for SE content.

Next step: If you’d like to get more involved in these kinds of tasks, please complete the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Tier 3: Advanced Involvement (Committed)

If you’re an active participant in SE conversations, content, or community events, you can take on bigger responsibilities. SEI may require a signed volunteer waiver for some of these roles.

Direct Tasks:

  • Create new SE content (videos, articles, podcasts, graphics) or repurpose existing content for new audiences.
  • Coordinate or host SE training events or practice sessions on the SE Discord server.
  • Write and submit a unique, interesting, and relevant blog post for the SE website.
  • Help manage online community spaces, ensuring they remain welcoming and productive.
  • Contribute professional expertise such as legal, accounting, or grant-writing support.
  • Assist with larger marketing and outreach campaigns, such as ad strategy or press engagement.
  • Provide strategic consulting in fields like nonprofit management, finance, or high-level communications.
  • Help form partnerships with like-minded organizations or funders.

Next step: If these opportunities match your skills and interests, please complete the contact form at the bottom of this page so we can explore how best to work together.

Tier 4: Strategic Involvement (Aspirational)

These roles are for people deeply experienced in SE who are known in the community, and who are ready to take on leadership-level commitments. SEI may require a signed volunteer waiver or Code of Conduct for these roles.

Direct Tasks:

  • Serve on the SEI Board of Directors.
  • Tour nationally or internationally to give talks, run workshops, or inspire others to practice SE.

Next step: If you’re ready to explore a leadership or strategic role, please complete the contact form at the bottom of this page and let us know more about your background.
