Values, Vision, Mission, Strategy
We’re taking a good hard look at Street Epistemology International and developing a strategic plan to achieve worldwide distribution.

Here’s a summary of updates for Street Epistemology International:
Strategic Planning
New board members have reinvigorated our already passionate organization and we’ve begun to reflect on the values we think Street Epistemology International may be well-served to embody. As you are probably aware, there’s something incredibly useful and potentially impactful about SE, and we want to make sure we’re building SEI responsibly. Afterwards, we’ll construct a vision statement and tagline, and even take another fresh look at our mission statement. We’ll share these positions on the SE website and charity navigator sites once they’ve become more clearly fleshed out.
SE Course Seeking Volunteers
Progress on the self-directed course continues, and we’re looking to add a few more people to our team to help speed up our progress. Email [email protected] with your relevant background and level of experience with Street Epistemology and we’ll consider you for a potential spot on the team. We’re also nearing external testing for Module 2: Why Use Street Epistemology? and seeking volunteers willing to read an early draft and provide feedback by survey and optional focus group. Email [email protected] if you can help us with that. We’re primarily interested in those unfamiliar with SE to assist in this review, but accept all levels of familiarity.
New Club Committee Formed
We’ve formed an exciting new committee called the Club Committee and plan to hold our kick-off meeting on Sunday, August 21 at 6pm US Central. The Committee will hold monthly online gatherings for those who regularly hold in-person or online meetups for people interested in learning, discussing, and practicing Street Epistemology. The Club Committee will be led by Lisa Fisher, who formed an in-person SE community in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you have an SE club and want to send a representative or are simply interested in forming your own local SE club, this is for you. Email [email protected] to be considered and obtain more information about this exciting new event.
The SE Calendar
I thought it might be a good idea to remind people about the calendar we’ve added to the SE website, which shows many of the scheduled SE-related events people are holding. In addition to showing SEI-related events, visitors can see SE-related project meetings like the self-directed course, SE practice sessions on Discord, SE video review show, and SE call-in shows. One can also find both the Content Creator and the new Club Committee gatherings listed there as well. We’d like this calendar packed with SE-related events, so if you are aware of any, contact us.
On a personal note, after getting my two kids settled into their respective universities, I’m going to hang out with another content creator and film some of our interactions. I’ve also started preparing for an opportunity to introduce and demonstrate SE to an international business audience before the end of this year. More later.
Best regards,
Anthony Magnabosco
